Inside Liberty Walk Sapporo: JDM Culture, Merch, and the Wild Kaido Works R32

Every JDM enthusiast knows the name Liberty Walk. Famous for wild wide-body kits, rebellious styling, and a “build it your way” philosophy, LBWK has become more than a tuning brand, it’s a global movement. So while I was traveling in Sapporo, Hokkaido’s snowy capital, visiting the Liberty Walk Sapporo store (and café!) instantly made it into my itinerary. This wasn’t just sightseeing 🇯🇵 this was a car-culture pilgrimage.

The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by background music, merch displays, and by a full-blown race-inspired show car sitting right in the middle of the store floor. Wide, low, aggressive, and absolutely unapologetic the kind of car that looks like it rolled out of a manga panel or Group 5 silhouette racing era.

At First, I Thought It Was an S13… (Real Talk)

I’ll admit my initial guess was Nissan Silvia S13, mainly because of the boxy silhouette and retro race styling. Liberty Walk is known for LB★Silhouette Works builds, and that design language can blur what lies under the aero in the best possible way.

So I snapped photos, looked at the details, and later compared it with LBWK kits online. That’s when I confirmed:

It’s actually a Nissan Skyline R32 running the LB★Kaido Works body kit.
(And now I love it even more.)

Car on Display: LB★Kaido Works Nissan R32 Skyline

This machine is built using Liberty Walk’s Kaido Works line, inspired by old-school Kaido-racer and 1980s Super Silhouette race cars. Think long overfenders, squared-off aero, race-spec stance, bold decals, and that unmistakable “I don’t care about your rules” attitude.

Key details I spotted:

  • Liberty Walk Kaido Works wide-body kit

  • BRIDE racing seats

  • Deep-dish wheels tucked aggressively under the fenders

  • Race-style hood and over-nose aero

  • Track-spec tow straps & exposed front components

  • Massive rear wing & old-school livery

Even if you’re not into stance, track builds, or classic aero, this car forces you to look it’s an art piece, not just a machine.

Inside Liberty Walk Sapporo 🇯🇵 Store + Café Experience

The store isn’t just a showroom 🤘 it’s its own vibe.
There’s:

  • LBWK apparel & merch

  • Scale models & collectibles

  • Stickers, accessories & exclusive Japan-only drops

  • Display pieces & lifestyle decor

  • A chill café area for drinks & conversations

It feels more like a cultural hub for JDM lovers, not a retail shop.

You don’t walk in to buy something — you walk in to belong.

“Worth Visiting?” Absolutely.

If you're traveling to Sapporo and you're into:

  • JDM tuning
